The Cotswold Playhouse

Our next event is Daphne Neville's Beatrix Potter Looks Back on 16th August at 2.30 pm

Daphne was trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic and is an accomplished actress, author, speaker and television personality.  She has cared for otters at her family's mill in Gloucestershire for the past 20 years and talks on average once a week on Otters around the world and her own otters in particular.

In this amusing and entertaining presentation she plays the part of Beatrix Potter as a married woman in the Lake District, looking back on her Tales of Peter Rabbit, Jeremy Fisher, etc. and why she wrote her 'little books'. Daphne is kindly donating the majority of her fee to the Cotswold Players’ Building Fund.

The following event is Gordon Peters' production of Nothing Quite Like it on 13th September.

I’m a Gnu; Mud, Mud, Glorious Mud; Let’s Talk Rude; The Gas Man Cometh; Madeira M’Dear and many more Flanders and Swan favourites - with David Carter at the piano.
Gordon Peters has written a book on his life in show business –‘FROM CHOIR BOY TO COMIC’ – and has recorded several comedy songs on CD and cassette.  He had his own TV series ‘The Gordon Peters Show’ on BBC 1 and appeared in Dads Army, Are You Being Served, One Foot in the Grave, Hi Di Hi, Tales from the Crypt,  Little Britain and My Family.
