Update 11th September…

These 3 photos taken on a sunny 11th September shows the latest progress.  The first one is of the new main entrance which is in the same place as the old one but will be a good deal more attractive.

This shows the sewage pumping station which will be under the lower ground floor.  Because of the various levels involved, a drainage system relying on gravity would have involved pipework buried in a trench several metres deep and this GRP chamber with twin electric sewage pumps surprisingly works out less expensive.  Let us hope it proves reliable.

This last photo shows the view from the other side of Parliament Street.

The walls take shape…

Now that the footings are more or less complete, the blockwork for the walls is being laid.  The first photo shows what will become the new lounge - the seagulls from the old lounge are clearly visible.

The second photo shows a serious discussion between from L to R Mike Ash, Crossleigh foreman, Sarah Goodwin, Cotswold Players’ treasurer, Steve Goodwin, Theatre Manager and John Perry of Crossleigh.

Both photos were taken on 28th August.Meeting!
